Abstract background

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to dominate the headlines, the foundational question facing leaders today is how to build a society where people are empowered to thrive with AI as active users, critical thinkers, and creative collaborators.

Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet is delighted to support a timely event hosted by the Research Ireland ADAPT and Insight Research Centres, in partnership with AI². Together with leading EdTech organisations, skills providers, and researchers, the event will explore a practical and ethical roadmap for the future workforce.

The event will move beyond traditional upskilling to career sustainability, ensuring workers possess the confidence and the tools to remain successful and resilient as their roles evolve. This focus matters because the future belongs to a workforce that is AI ready; individuals who can pair technical literacy with unique human strengths such as creativity, empathy, and critical thinking.

This multidisciplinary dialogue will explore how we can co-create a future of work that is productive, inclusive, and fundamentally respects the sustainability of our society.

Event speakers include

  • Professor Vincent Wade, Trinity College Dublin
  • John Durcan, Chief Technologist, IDA Ireland
  • Professor Na Fu, Trinity Business School
  • In addition to the above speakers, the event will have a number of lightning talks from the following organisations: Solas / Learnovate / Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet / The Institute of Bankers / RDI Hub
