No. The session takes place online, so you can join from anywhere. However, the Masters programmes and funding options are designed primarily for ICT professionals working in Ireland, and all times are given in Irish time.
The Open Day is designed for software engineers, DevOps engineers, architects and technical leads who are considering a Level 9 Masters while working full time. It is also relevant for managers or HR and L&D leaders who want to understand how these programmes can support their teams.
Yes, if you are working in software, cloud, infrastructure or related technical roles and want to move towards architecture or DevOps leadership. The session will cover typical backgrounds, the skills you will develop, and how the programmes support career progression in Ireland’s tech sector.
Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet provides Government assisted funding through the Skillnet Ireland initiative of the Government of Ireland. During the Open Day we will explain the current fees, the funded rates available to eligible Irish based participants and employers, and the steps you need to take to access the funding.
You do not need employer approval to attend the Open Day, and many individuals apply directly. For funded places it is often helpful for your employer to be involved, so we will outline how organisations typically support employees and what information you can bring back to your manager or HR team.
You will hear from TU Dublin academics and industry speakers about the structure, content and learning outcomes of the MSc in DevOps and the MSc in Software Solutions Architecture. You will also get a clear picture of entry requirements, time commitment, assessment approaches and how the programmes are delivered for working professionals.
