Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet launch new Cisco Networking Academy in Ireland

Today Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet is delighted to announce it has received affiliate status as an approved Cisco Networking Academy and joins a global community of like-minded educators across 180 countries.

Cisco Networking Academy, one of Cisco’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, is an ICT skills and career building program for learning institutions and individuals worldwide, aiming at transforming the lives of learners, educators, and communities through the power of education and career opportunities. Networking Academy offers courses that cater to different experiences and skill levels. Since its launch in 1997, the programme has provided to over 11 million students, best-in-class courses and tools and industry-recognized certifications so that students can have greater confidence in their skills and employability. The course portfolio includes self-paced courses designed to be taken at any point in the learner’s career journey.

The eight programmes are aimed at (a) existing information technology professionals wishing to upskill (b) those migrating from associated disciplines and (c) those currently job- seeking and interested in pursuing a career in the technology field.
