This holiday season, to reflect on our impactful initiatives over the last 12 months, we created a social campaign titled ‘TechTidings – Celebrating a year of tech training’, with each daily post highlighting a milestone for businesses looking to grow, professionals looking to further their careers, and jobseekers looking to find a new start in tech.
The common thread running through each Tech Tiding is that they all live and breathe our mission to help individuals and organisations build the critical technology skills needed to succeed, and to realise their full potential. Scroll down the page to explore them all!
First Irish Master’s in Sustainable Cloud Computing launched
In July of 2025, Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet came together with Technological University Dublin to launch the MSc in Sustainable Cloud Computing – the first of it’s kind in Ireland. The MSc is a pioneering 2-year part-time and online programme that responds to growing industry demand for cloud professionals with expertise in financial operations (FinOps) and environmental sustainability.
Unveiled at Liberty IT’s state-of-the-art office, the launch of the programme marks a major step forward in developing the next generation of cloud leaders equipped to manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments, while addressing cost efficiency and carbon impact. Join our Master’s in January and learn to power tomorrow’s cloud, responsibly.
Award Winning Academic and Industry Support
We continue to support the Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Foundations of Data Science (CRT), empowering the next generation of data scientists through comprehensive training and research opportunities.
A notable highlight this year was during the delivery of the 6th CRT Winter Symposium for the initiative, where Dave Feenan, Network Director of Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet received an award for ‘Exceptional Contribution and Dedication’. Read more about this achievement.
180+ Professionals start journey to become Masters of AI
From orientation to innovation. We were very excited to welcome the class of 2027 to begin one or other of our 2-year part-time Master’s in AI, over 180 students in total!
The learners come from a wide range of backgrounds – engineering and software development to data science and business – but all share a common goal: to deepen their expertise in artificial intelligence and to prepare for high-impact roles.
The National MSc in Artificial Intelligence, delivered with University of Limerick, and the MSc in Computer Science [Artificial Intelligence], delivered with University of Galway and ICHEC have both become flagship examples of how academia and industry can collaborate to address Ireland’s growing demand for AI talent.

30+ network & learn events, bringing professionals together to connect and innovate
In 2025, our 30+ networking events – covering the likes of our techBREK series and industry stakeholder events – gave professionals a space to connect, compare notes and spark new ideas.
We were honoured to deliver a lot of these events with key ecosystem partners, like Microsoft, AI Ireland, Mastercard, Dublin Regional Skills Forum, Enterprise Ireland and Iasa, as well as with our sister Skillnet Ireland networks like Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet and BioPhamaChem Skillnet.
From AI and leadership to resilience and future skills, these sessions brought SMEs, multinationals and industry steering groups into the same room to collaborate, not compete. Our focus is always on supporting people and teams, creating trusted spaces where conversations turn into partnerships, fresh thinking and real impact for Ireland’s tech ecosystem.
